My Story

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Brooklyn, I absorbed the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. As a youth, I dreamt of designing for diverse ventures. Design became my hobby, and fashion became my calling in college. Moving to the States at 12 reshaped my ambitions. Along this journey, I've encountered influential figures who've left their mark. It's been like navigating an ever-changing design canvas, finding beauty in the unexpected twists and turns of life.

Why Me?

As a designer, my fascination with product design (compared to other designs I have previously worked with) is that:

  • It’s a team/group effort (machine learning engineer, data engineer, frontend engineer, backend engineer, product manager, product designer, testing moderator, and of course most importantly the User).

  • It’s not dependent on one person (me), but on many (the actual Users). So your award-winning-mind-blowing initial solution might not be the necessarily the winner at the end.

  • It’s problem-solving (instead of just making something beautiful, which can also be a bonus). But the journey can be challenging just like sculpting a gorgeous statue.

  • It’s too big and it keeps on expanding, giving product folks a small sense of never-fully-knowing-everything, but instead pushing to evolve, hopefully avoiding stagnation & arrogance.
